House Rules
Party Protocols
Last updated: June 2026
These protocols apply to every Unwrapture event, regardless of size, theme, or location. They exist to protect the thing that makes this community worth being part of: a space where people can actually let go because the people around them are accountable.
Consent Is Sexy, and Required
Every interaction at an Unwrapture event runs on enthusiastic, ongoing consent. That means:
- A clear, verbal yes before any touch, scene, or activity begins.
- Consent can be withdrawn at any time, for any reason, with no explanation owed.
- Silence, intoxication, or a costume is never consent.
- Never touch anyone without asking first. Not "just to see." Not "just for a second."
- Never interrupt a scene in progress to ask "Can I watch?" or "Can I join?" If you're interested, wait for a natural pause and approach respectfully, or simply let it pass.
Consent Captains
Every event has Consent Captains stationed and clearly identifiable. They are not security, and they are not judgment. Their entire job is to help monitor the space, support anyone who needs it, and step in if something doesn't look right. If anything ever feels off, find a Consent Captain first.
The Door Signal System
At events with private rooms or designated play spaces, doors and spaces will be marked with a simple signal system:
- Green: Open, come on in.
- Yellow: Knock first, give us a second.
- Red: Closed, please don't disturb.
Respect every signal without exception. A yellow or red door is not a puzzle to solve.
Discretion Is Non-Negotiable
- What happens at an Unwrapture event stays at the event. No photos or video of other guests without their explicit, individual consent, ever.
- Do not discuss who you saw at an event outside of the community, by name or by identifying detail.
- Party names are used in tips, shoutouts, and public-facing materials. Real names stay private.
Respect the Space and the People Running It
- Follow venue rules in addition to Unwrapture's own. We are guests in these spaces, and our continued access depends on how we treat them.
- Listen to event staff, hosts, and Consent Captains. Their direction in the moment is final.
- Intoxication is not an excuse for boundary violations, disrespect, or ignoring a Consent Captain's direction.
What Happens If These Protocols Are Broken
Violations are taken seriously and handled case by case, with consequences ranging from a direct conversation to removal from the event without refund, up to permanent loss of membership and access to all future Unwrapture events. Repeated or severe violations, including consent violations, harassment, or discretion breaches, will result in immediate removal and revocation.
